CSE Department’s first Alumni meet was held on 20/9/2019 at SRC, SASTRA Deemed University. Dr.K.Nandhini, Assistant Professor, Central University of Tamilnadu, Tiruvarur and analumna of SASTRA Deemed University was invited as chief guest for the day. Outgone BCA students were invited and a discussion was held with the students.

As rightly said by Dr A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, "Excellence happens not by accident, it is a process", every day at SASTRA was a milestone achievement towards knowledge acquisition. I got my offer at "Deloitte", one of the big four consulting firms in the globe, through campus placements. Being an alumnus of SASTRA, I always hold the privilege of standing out in the crowd due to ethics and qualities, which the university has nurtured in me. By just completing a year in Deloitte, I have embraced technical certifications to become a CPQ SPECIALIST. Apart from serving our clients, I am technically grooming several practitioners in the firm towards certifications. Owing to the experience of being a student cultural coordinator at our campus, I am driving the entire well-being activities in the firm today. With all this, I stand as a nominee for FAST TRACK promotion by the leadership in my first year, which is facilitated to outstanding individuals in the practice. Ever grateful to SASTRA, as it has made us globally fit to face challenges in a right and transparent way.

Ever since I got to know about the consulting world, I always dreamt of joining Deloitte. Thank you SASTRA you made my dream come true. In 2019, I joined Deloitte as a campus recruit; today I am an Onboarding Advisor for the New-Hires joining Deloitte. SASTRA has not only made me a better person with professional values, but also it has made me a good person with discipline, punctuality, and kindness. Imbibing the principles I had from SASTRA, and as a campus alumnus, I addressed Sastra University in Deloitte placements. Generally, it takes three or more years for a person to get promoted in Deloitte, but there is one method called Fast track through which people who stand out get promoted within two years. Happy to share the information that I got nominated for the same and am up for promotion. Today I feel delighted and proud to be a part of SASTRA.

SAP EXPERIENCE
As a boy with plenty of dreams and aspirations, I came to SASTRA SRC, hoping to grow into a better engineer. SASTRA proved me a fighter by exactly portraying what the real technical world is. I was fed with the correct inputs in achieving my goals. My professors were my primary motivation, who constantly helped me grow this much. I felt jubilant when placed in Tata Elxsi and also, I got an opportunity to be one of the very few for the Semester Abroad Program. I worked on an IoT related project as a part of my SAP at UniversitatAutonam de Barcelona, Spain from Feb-2019 to June 2019. This made me grow technically strong. I am indeed in a great position today living my dreams because of SASTRA.
